Q: How does the contest work?

A: We host the Dream Quest One Poetry and Writing Contest to inspire and encourage new and experienced literary artists to submit their short stories and poetry to be recognized worldwide.  We welcome you to share your hopes and dreams of being published and to continue being successful poets and writers. Creativity, imagination, innovation and the ability to dream is an inspiration to others even if you have no experience in poetry or writing. This contest is held Semi-annually.


Q: What prizes can I win?

A: You can win up to $250.00 for writing a poem and win up to 500.00 for writing a short story.


Q: When is the new Dream Quest One One Poetry & Contest deadline?

A: The deadline for the new Summer 2010 Poetry & Writing Contests has been extended to August 9, 2010. Therefore, there is still time to send in your poems and short stories electronically or by postal mail before or on August 9, 2010. 


Q: Now when will the new Summer 2010 Poetry & Writing contest winners be announced?

A: All Summer 2010 Poetry & Writing contest winners will be notified, announced and published online in the Dare to Dream pages, on September 11, 2010.

 

Q: What was the deadline for your previous Winter 2009-2010 Contests?
A: The previous Winter 2009-2010 Poetry and Writing Contest deadline was January 10, 2010.

Q: When were the previous Poetry & Writing Winter 2009-2010 Contest Winners notified? All Dream Quest One Winter 2009-2010 Contest winners were notified, announced and published in the Dare to Dream pages on February 14, 2010. Yes that was last Valentine's Day! Kiss


Q: Are previously published poems and short stories allowed to entered the poetry and writing contests? 
A: Yes, you may enter previously published poems and short stories which are absolutely welcome.


Q: How do I enter the contest by mail?

A: Send an original poem, 30 lines or fewer, on any subject or theme, in any style, neatly hand printed or typed, single or double line spacing. Submit a short story, (5) pages maximum, on any subject, any theme, neatly hand printed or typed, single or double line spacing.  The entry fee is $5.00  (USD) per poem submitted. The entry fee is $10.00 (USD) per short story.  Please send your entry fees payable to: "DREAMQUESTONE.COM," and mail your poem(s)/short story(ies) to the following address:
