Dream Quest One News and Announcements

KUDOS - FOR PEOPLE WHO PRIZE WRITING

Kudos - only £2.50 per issue, mostly offset by savings on postage
(around 70p each time), since several entry forms are usually enclosed.
And that of course also helps save time and effort.

September/October issue runs in fact mainly from the end of September
right up to mid November, and beyond and in some cases.

KUDOS #72 (formerly Competitions Bulletin): UK, USA and much, much more…

Ring any bells, poetically speaking? Carillon Magazine…
The McLellan Award; Poetry Society; Second Light Network; Troubador Prize

Put some colour into your writing with the Red Planet Prize (TV scripts) or more poetry:
Black Horse Poets; Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prizes; Cannon Poets’ Silver Jubilee

Funny stuff from the Bard of Armagh and Vincent McTigue poetry contests -
and Palmprint: erotic short stories… Strong Medicine? That’s for MARGIE,
but maybe not too saucy for Worcester Writers’ Circle (Stories)
or the Elizabeth Curry Prize in Poetry

And finally, some deserve a closer look –
a Bird’s Eye View of playwriting, plus poetry for Invisible Ink and Old Possum (children),
and all sorts (film, poetry, plays) welcome for Dysming Monadys

Every issue, around 200 competitions – some with free entry;
at least 50 for poetry, around 40 for short stories.

Plus collections, anthologies, playwriting, non fiction, books etc, home and abroad

Details of around £250,000 in prize money.

Only £2.50 per issue. £15 pa for six; £20 Overseas

Everybody always remembers that amazing moment they actually won a prize,
but writers can always come out on top -
because entering competitions encourages motivation, organisation, and inspiration.

Also, featuring Mark Goodwin’s book launch.

Siobhan Logan’s spectacular Stories Drummed From Polar Skies (specially adapted from her Science Museum and Richard Attenborough Centre show).

Nick Carbo, Filipino-born, all the way from Hollywood;

Sheree Mack, from Trinidad and Tobago;

Exclusive showcases featuring some of the best poets from bluechrome, Ragged Raven, Cinnamon, BeWrite, and Chroma.

Polyverse poetry festival will offer readings and workshops from a diverse range of published and award-winning poets, including some as established as Sam Smith, Nigel McLoughlin, Rosemary Dun, Oz Hardwick and Geoff Stevens – to name but a few.
