“Blockbuster Love”

Since your voice graced my ears, I knew you would be mine,
joined as one to form a love that transcends all time.
We laugh, we cry, hold each other tight, through fourteen
years of splendor, you have been my light.
Guiding and encouraging me
angering and discouraging me, yet you are more
then I can ask for, you are always there for me.
We suffer in ways no one will ever understand,
yet despite all our flaws, we still hold each other’s hands.
Grace and dignity, together we stand tall,
Making great effort to be the best parents of all.
Skipping all around us, longing for admiration,
Trusting you and I as a safeguard from a world of damnation.
Four treasures of our hearts, rolling all around
four free-floating spirits, symbols of our love,
in their image, our passion can be found.
We are worth more than we know,
As our future unfolds, we create the wildest show.
Every seat in the theater is full, cheering us on,
our life floods the screen.
You and I together until the end, a surefire blockbuster
for all the world to see.
